Vu is from Hanoi, Vietnam. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Banking from National Economics University in Hanoi. In his profession, he undertook many different positions at commercial banks in Vietnam as well as the position of Policy Owner Services and Claim Professional at American International Assurance and auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. After years of working in financial services industry, he decided to pursue his MBA at UCONN to further develop his career in finance and sharpen his management skill.

Vu is currently serving as a Graduate Assistant to Finance Department of University of Connecticut. Recently, he worked for UCONN School of Business Innovation Accelerator on a project on management as a summer intern.
